Hey Harrington Grove Family, My name is Riley Parsons and I am currently a Sophomore at NC State studying Communications and Business Administration. I have been swimming in summer league ever since I was 8 years old. I am from Greensboro North Carolina, where I swam for Green Valley (summer), GCY Makos (year-round), and Caldwell Varsity Swimming (High School). I held a coaching position for over 3 years at Green Valley and I am looking forward to being the new Head Coach of Harrington Grove for the summer of 2026. I achieved 2x All-State selection as well as All-Conference selection in high school, where my team also won 2 State Championships. I look forward to meeting everyone and can’t wait to have an amazing season!
Hi my name is Hayden Chaney, I have been swimming for Harrington Groves since I was 5 years old, and swam for Leesville Road High School my Sophomore through Senior year.
I’ve always loved the water and swimming, it’s been a huge part of my life. I used to swim competitively with YOTA and New Wave before hanging up my goggles to pursue a new passion, LRHS varsity cheer. Even though I’m no longer competing, swimming will always be my first love.I’ve been with the Harrington Grove Stingrays for about seven years now, and I’m a second-year lifeguard. I truly enjoy working with kids, whether it’s helping at cheer clinics, coaching, or lifeguarding. Over time, I’ve developed a real passion for teaching and coaching young swimmers.I’m excited to keep making a positive impact and helping swimmers grow their skills this summer. Can’t wait for this season, Go stingrays!
Hi! I’m Abby Gerding and I’m a rising junior at Leesville Road High School. I’ve been a Stingray since I was 7 years old and did year round swim for 5 years with New Wave. At Leesville I’ve become very involved in the band program; I play clarinet in the marching band and the Symphonic band, Leesville’s top instrumental music ensemble. I work as a lifeguard at Harrington Grove and this will be my third summer as a junior coach. I’m so excited for another great season with the Stingrays!
Hi my name is Brooke Mauro, and I’m a rising Junior at Leesville Road High School. I’ve been swimming on the Harrington Grove Swim Team since I was four years old as a Little Stinger and have loved it ever since. This past school year was my second year on the Leesville Varsity Swim Team and I loved every minute of it! In my free time I love to bake, hang out with friends, and watch sports. This is my second season as a coach and I’m beyond excited to be part of the coaching staff again! I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together this season! Go Stingrays!!!
