Dear Stingrays families,

Time is flying by and the official swim season will be here before we know it! As you know, summer swim league can't happen without parent volunteers.  I wanted to give you a heads up on two essential positions and when TSA will be providing training clinics to volunteers.

Stroke and Turn (S&T): This position is essential and each club must have at least 1 trained official (but 3 or 4 would be ideal).  The S&T position must be recertified EACH YEAR.  The TSA will be holding several clinics for this over the next month (both in person and virtual).  See the attached flier for dates and times.

Meet Administrator:  This is a new position for TSA this year.  As the league is now being run almost entirely through the Swimtopia platform this year, we have many capabilities to run the meets more efficiently behind the scenes.  We are still learning more about the Meet Administrator position, but essentially, this role will take the place of our traditional Score Keeper role that was done on paper.  The Meet Administrator will sit at the starter table and enter the scores and first place time for each main heat (first heat only) in real time.  This will allow for more efficient scoring, real time notifications of new records, and further reduction of a complicated "paper trail". The TSA will be holding two clinics for this over the next month (one in person and one virtual).
