Dear Stingrays,

It seems as though the Swim Gods are against us starting up the season this week. I've been watching the forecast almost hourly over the past few days and it consistently looks as though this entire week is going to be cool and rainy (with some potential storms). Things start to look up around Thursday or Friday, but it's hard to know how things will shake out. The following week looks much better to start. 

The board has discussed and we think it would be best to push the start of the season to next week (May 19th) so we don't start with a washout. Furthermore, a cold, rainy week is a bad way to start off the little ones. 

The plan for the season kickoff will be as follows:

• Monday May 19th - 5:30pm - Season Kick off party
• Tuesday May 20th - 5:30pm - 6/under swim assessments
• Wednesday May 21st - 5:30pm - First day of practice for all
