Declare Your Swimmers for each Swim Meet
Hello Stingray Parents, it's time to declare your swimmers for each swim meet this season.
For new parents, you might be wondering what this means. Declaring your swimmer is entering into Swimtopia whether or not they will be swimming in each meet. We ask parents to complete this as early as possible, knowing there may be unexpected changes like illness, so Coach Riley knows who will be swimming in each meet and can create heat sheets and relay teams. You now have the capability of entering whether or not your swimmer will be attending all 6 meets.
Please go into Swimtopia and click on each meet under Upcoming Events. Once inside the event you will see the names of your swimmers under Attendance. Under that there is a button that says Meet Signup. Click that button and you will be directed to a new screen. Click EDIT and then select from the Drop down "Attending" or "Not Attending" and SAVE. It is important you fill out either option or your swimmer may be left off the list.
If you know when you'll be on vacation than mark them off as "Not Attending" now. You can always go back and edit your selections later. If you do have an unexpected issue on the day of the meet, please reach out directly to Coach Riley and do not just change your attendance in the app. Once heat sheets are pulled, he will not be going back in and could miss the change.
No one has time to chase parents that have not declared their swimmers so best to declare now and make changes later if needed. Thank you for your help in making this process run smoothly. No one wants to see a child show up to the meet and not be able to swim.
Also for those looking to be extra helpful, we've had a few swimmers drop off already this season and that means additional volunteer positions need to be filled at meets. Feel free to sign up for more or reach out directly to [email protected] to ask how you can help.
Thanks,
Renee Gonzales
